Bates women's golf claims title at Bowdoin Blast
 

TOPSHAM, Maine -- Bates women's golfers Liz Wilcox and Brigid Dunn tied for medalist honors as the Bobcats dominated the Second Annual Bowdoin Blast at Highland Green Golf Club.

Bates' two-player score of 174 topped the four teams competing, with Bowdoin next at 195, followed by Colby (209) and UMaine-Farmington (221).

Wilcox (South Glastonbury, Conn.), a senior, and Dunn (Milford, Ohio), a first-year, each scored 87.

Bates also played Bowdoin during the tournament, with the best four scores counting, and the Bobcats defeated the host Polar Bears in that format by a 391-418 score. First-year Mimi Neal (Danvers, Mass.) shot a 92, fourth best out of 19 golfers on the day, while sophomore Christine McCall (Lowell, Mass.) followed with a 125.
