Monks Ranked Eighth in GNAC Poll

STANDISH, ME – The St. Joe’s Men’s Soccer team has been picked as the #8 team in the 2008 preseason Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Poll.

 

The Monks finished the 2007 campaign 5-11-3 overall and posted a 3-7-1 conference record en route to a GNAC quarterfinal match against eventual league champion Johnson and Wales University.

 

First-year head coach Joel Bancroft will look to a group of 14 returning players, including the team’s top three scorers and one All-GNAC honoree, along with a promising group of newcomers to build on last season’s late surge.
