STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced the weekly honors for the September 14th-21st reporting period and two Saint Joseph's men’s soccer players, Will Pike ‘10 (Gorham, ME) and Doug MacCallum ‘10 (Hingham, MA), have been recognized.

MacCallum is the GNAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three goals last week for Coach Bancroft’s side. He tallied both SJC goals in a 2-0 win over Daniel Webster College on September 18th and notched the lone Monks tally in a 1-1 tie against Norwich University on September 20th.

MacCallum leads St Joe's with four goals and nine points on the season.

Pike receives the GNAC Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week award after playing a significant role in a 2-0-1 week for the Monks. For the week the junior made 23 saves and allowed just two goals in 290 minutes of play. Pike recorded his second shutout of the season against Daniel Webster on September 18th and made 12 saves in a 1-1 tie against regionally-ranked Norwich on September 20th.

Pike has been solid in net so far this season for the Monks with 47 saves, a 1.21 goals against average, an .839 save percentage and a pair of shutouts in seven matches. The junior keeper has made 36 saves and allowed just three goals in his last 489 minutes of play.
