STANDISH, ME - First-year runner Alysn Ludwig '09 (Waldoboro, ME) led the way for Saint Joseph’s College with a time of 13:41 to finish in first place in the two-mile Runnin' Monks Early Bird XC Meet and six SJC runners finished in the top eleven overall as the Royal Blue cruised to a top finish in the opening meet of the season over University of New England and New England College on Saturday. Bates cross country teams defeat Colby in modified scoring

NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine -- Utilizing a unique format, the Bates College men’s and women’s cross country teams opened their season Saturday at their home course at Pineland Farms with a combined dual meet against Colby College. The meet featured head-to-head competition between classes for both schools. Strong performances from both the men and women first-year runners resulted in an overall win for Bates, with a combined score of Bates 64, Colby 50. Read
